The Ozark Empire Fair - just the words bring smiles to the faces of generations of Missourians - those who come to ride the rides - those who come to watch the shows - and those who come to exhibit the end result of a years worth of hard work. The memories made and lessons learned last a lifetime - and so do the smiles.
The annual Gold Buckle Gala is the signature event of the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation. First held in 2004, the Gala's primary purpose is to recognize the efforts of Southwest Missouri District 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors who have qualified for the prestigious Gala Auction, and to award youth grants and scholarships.
The Ozark Empire Fair Foundation, established in 2003, is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission it is to provide agricultural youth scholarships and grants and provide funding for major improvements to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and its livestock facilities. All donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
